Why did I choose an early date to announce my intentions to run?
Even though the primaries are not until March 2012, our Party is already operating at an extremely high level. The Young Republicans led by Jason Rector and the Active Senior Republicans led by Mary Jo Rieck have been very active organizing public events with the help of their dedicated volunteers.
Behind the scenes, the main Party has also been extremely active. The Executive Committee and the Central Committee have been meeting monthly, and some subcommittees have had weekly meetings. Our meetings are fun and harmonious. But out in the real world voters are very frustrated at the mess in Springfield and Chicago. My early announcement is an assurance that we are extremely active and united to provide voters with alternatives to irresponsible governance.
We seek to motivate and engage, and we welcome those who are tired of irresponsible spending, deficits, and bad decisions by politicians. If you are frustrated by politics, welcome to our circle. Get involved today by going to ChampaignCountyRepublicans.org and register to receive our alerts.
Help us take civic service back into the hands of rational normal citizens and away from those who are ruining our State and our Nation.
